Rooms For Creative People
Hello! I'm Catherine, and I initiated the business Room for Creatives. Most days, you can find me teaching the flute or music theory; as part of this, I organise events - from trios to large ensembles - either alone or in collaboration with other local music teachers. When I'm not teaching, I'm 'fluting' with friends, occasionally performing at charity events or community centres. I'm also involved in the local community through a book club and hosting a charity letter writing group. As you may be able to tell, being creative and sharing this with those around me is a large part of my life!
In March 2022, I started hiring two rooms in my family home for friends to use for teaching and workshops - I'd realised that there was a lack of affordable and welcoming spaces for people to share their creativity. I was receiving positive feedback from those using the rooms, and I was enjoying the creative atmosphere in the home. It's from here that Room for Creatives has grown.
