Catherine Whitehouse
Flute Teacher and Music Theory Specialist
Catherine has a lifelong love of music and understands the rewards and challenges of learning as an adult, having returned to playing and studying more fully herself.
She specialises in teaching adults, from complete beginners to those returning to the flute after many years. Her lessons provide a relaxed, encouraging environment where students can develop confidence, enjoy making music and learn at their own pace.
Alongside her regular teaching, Catherine offers one-to-one music theory lessons and intensive Grade 5 Music Theory courses during the summer holidays for both teenagers and adults preparing for their examinations. She also enjoys leading relaxed flute groups where adult players can make music together in a friendly and supportive setting.
Catherine believes music should be enjoyable at every stage of life and loves helping students grow in confidence while discovering the pleasure of making music.
Availability: Weekday flute lessons for adults, with intensive Grade 5 Music Theory courses available during the school holidays.
Andy Saunders
Classical pianist and early years specialist
Andy Saunders loves teaching piano and music theory. After twenty years, that hasn’t changed.
A former Junior Exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music and ABRSM UK Undergraduate Scholar, Andy graduated with distinction in his final recital from the Royal Academy of Music, also receiving the Academy’s LRAM teaching diploma. He has performed major concerto repertoire in the UK and abroad.
Teaching students from age four to their eighties - complete beginners to diploma candidates - Andy is patient, encouraging, and genuinely enthusiastic. His only goal is that every student enjoys their piano journey, wherever it takes them.
Andy’s availability: all day Saturday, Monday & Wednesday evenings
Linn
Recording Artist and Contemporary Vocal Specialist
Linn is a professional studio singer and songwriter whose work spans pop, rock, EDM and acoustic genres, with over 30 million global streams. Originally trained in Musical Theatre in Stockholm, she later specialised in songwriting and vocal technique in California before establishing her career in London.
She brings industry insight to her teaching, supporting students in developing strong technical foundations while nurturing artistic identity and stylistic authenticity.

Roderick Seed
Professional Flautist, Author and Teacher
Roderick Seed is an internationally recognised flautist, author and teacher with over twenty years' experience. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, he studied with William Bennett, Kate Hill and Patricia Morris, and has also worked with Lorna McGhee and Sebastian Bell.
A First Prize winner of the Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition in New York, Roderick has performed at Carnegie Hall, with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and London Octave, and at both the British Flute Society and National Flute Association conventions.
Alongside his performing career, Roderick enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities. He is the author of Mastering the Flute with William Bennett and 7 Daily Vocalises, and is an Altus Flutes Artist.
Availability: Saturdays and potentially weekday evenings.
